EFT for Codependency | New Book on Kindle | Emotional Freedom Techniques | Tapping

“Finally… How To Heal Years Of Emotional Abuse And Codependency In Under 3 Minutes… Just By Tapping With Your Fingers!”
Sounds Impossible? Stay With Me As I Show You How This Form Of ‘Acupuncture Withoutthe Needles’ Has Helped Thousands Of People Around The World Find Emotional Relief From Their Problems… Even Those That Have Bothered Them For Years!
 From the desk of:
Jeanette P. Bailey, MA, MHRS, EFT-CC
San Diego, California

Dear Friend,
I don’t know how you stumbled upon this page.
Maybe you came here through Google, hoping to find a solution to your emotional problems.
Or maybe a friend recommended that you check this out.
Whatever your reasons or problems are, I know one thing for sure.
I know you want relief. You want an end to the years of emotional suffering and pain that have plagued you. You want an answer to your problems, fast.
Sadly, modern forms of therapy have conditioned us into thinking that recovery is a slow andpainful process. We have been led to believe that since our issues have affected us for so many years, it takes years of therapy and treatment to “undo the damage”.
That’s why countless individuals spend years in and out of therapy for codependency and other related issues, never really finding the true emotional relief they seek. Others find themselves constantly being drawn into dysfunctional relationships, repeating their earlier patterns of abuse or trauma.
But what if there’s a way to…
Collapse And Resolve Your Emotional Problems
In Minutes Instead of Years?
Would you be willing to at least give it a try?
I know this sounds like a great promise. But first let me share my own experiences.
From the age of 14 to 17 I was in the foster and group home system. I went through an abusive and traumatic childhood which left me with a poor self-image, constant fear and abusive voices in my head.
When I was old enough to strike it out on my own, I went to college, got my degree and vowed to help others who were suffering like me. In my desperation, I tried everything from hypnosis, metaphysics, religion, self-help to psychic healings but nothing worked to relieve the pain from my abusive childhood.
I later went into social work and became a counselor, and while my education helped me to dissolve some of the emotional trauma from my earlier years… I still found myself getting into dysfunctional & codependent relationships.
Frustrated, I took up a Master’s Degree in Psychology to “figure it all out”. While the intellectual side of me understood why I kept getting “stuck”… I made very slow progress emotionally.
Old fears and insecurities still came back to haunt me.
I didn’t seem to be making much headway until one day…
I Heard About This Silly Method Of
Tapping On Parts Of My Body With My Fingers!
The first time I heard this, I almost fell off my chair.
Years of traditional training in psychology and counseling told me “it can’t possibly be THAT easy!”
I was incredulous, but also desperate.
Like you, I wanted complete relief from my problems. Not just partial relief where I felt good for a few days or weeks, and then find myself hitting rock bottom emotionally again.
I was willing to give this a try, no matter what it took.
Fortunately, this method took very little.
Developed and fine-tuned by Gary Craig, a retired engineer who holds an engineering degree from Stanford, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) as it is called involves tapping on a series of meridian points on various parts of the body.
Because these energy meridian points correspond to those used by the 8,000 year old ancient healing art of acupuncture from the East… it has been called…
Acupuncture For The Emotions Without Needles!
The science behind EFT is simple.
Whenever we experience an unwanted emotion (such as feelings of despair, fear, worthlessness, anger, resentment), there is a disruption in the body’s energy system. This disruption in turn can be relieved by tapping on specific meridian points, such that the unwanted negative feeling is dissipated.
EFT excited me for two main reasons. First, it takes someone less than 15 minutes to pick up the basic version of EFT which they can then use on themselves to solve a variety of emotional problems.
Second, it is a non-invasive form of therapy that “cuts through” all the emotional issues or trauma and deals directly with your unwanted emotions. Conventional therapy attempts to do the opposite – By trying to dissolve the issues that give rise to the emotions, or by having an individual “re-live” the traumatic episodes.
But there was one remaining problem.
While EFT has worked successfully for phobias to even curing headaches, no one has applied EFT to codependency before. That’s when I decided to try it out for myself. I started applying EFT to my codependency issues and immediately felt…
A Deep, Profound Shift That Years Of Conventional Therapy Failed To Provide!
That was when I knew I had found THE way that worked. And that my application of EFT to codependency issues has the potential to help thousands of sufferers around the world.
If you have read until here, you must be interested to learn how EFT works, and how you can experience it for yourself.
Fortunately, EFT is free. It costs nothing for you to learn and anyone can pick it up in as little as 15 minutes.
However… here’s why you would want some guidance when applying EFT to codependency issues:
  • EFT deals with one “aspect” of a problem at a time. For example, if you are feeling angry at an abusive father, then one round of EFT tapping (less than 3 minutes) is aimed at dissolving the anger you’re feeling.
  • After a single round of EFT, a few things can possibly happen. If you’re like most people, your anger would have totally diminished to zero, or it might be of a lesser intensity. This is where you can do subsequent rounds of EFT tapping to further lower the intensity of this negative feeling.
  • Typically, those with codependency issues experience a range of unwanted feelings and negative emotions (ranging from anger, guilt, self-hatred, resentment to hopelessness).
To ensure that all the related issues surrounding your codependency are properly taken care of, you must know what “aspects” of your problem to applyEFT on…
Here’s Where My “Emotional Freedom Techniques For Codependency Recovery” Guide Comes In Handy…
Written by a trained and experienced EFT practitioner with a Master’s degree in Psychology who has successfully overcome my own codependency problems (and help others do the same), I have identified one hundred and twenty-three traits & symptoms commonly associated with codependency.
While you may be aware of some of these predominant negative feelings, the list also brings out many “aspects” of codependency you may be unaware of. These may include feelings you have suppressed over many years that can potentially cause blocks in your road to recovery. Complete identification of traits is important to ensure a full recovery.
Here’s how this works:
  1. You first take the before self-assessment to see where you are now. Then you go through each one of the 123 common traits / symptomsof codependent individuals I have identified and tick the statements that apply to you. For example, “I feel inner rage boiling up” may apply to you while “I’m a perfectionist” may not.
  2. Beside each statement that applies, you write down its intensity, or how true the statement feels for you on a 1 – 10 numeric scale.
  3. Finally, I will guide you by hand and take you through the EFT process for each of the relevant symptoms… and have you record the amount of relief you feel after each round of tapping.
  4. Lastly, I will take you through 495 Empowering Recovery Statements choosing the ones you want as your new decisions…and have you record the amount of empowerment you feel after each round of tapping.
Besides giving you tangible action steps to work on, learn:
  • How EFT has been successfully used by psychologists, licensed therapists and even health professionals to relieve mental and even physical conditions… and how you can apply these lessons to your own codependency issues.
  • The hidden root cause of codependency and why it can be extremely destructive if left unchecked
  • Why our innate human need to bond with other individuals results in disruptive, codependent relationships and how you can resolve this with EFT
  • How to disrupt the energy patterns that keep getting you back in abusive and traumatic relationships
  • How to use EFT (I show you the exact words to use) to develop a greater sense of self-awareness, such that you are instantly aware of dysfunctional, abusive individuals before they have a chance to affect you!
  • What to do about feeling drained by certain people and yet still feeling drawn to them like it’s your mission to make them happy – when all they ever do is to criticize you, stirring up your feelings of not being good enough? (I show you how to deal with this problem in just 3 minutes)
  • How the programming we receive during the first 5 years of our lifeaffects the way we operate during adulthood… and how to snap out of this self-defeating cycle
  • Are you someone who constantly seeks to please and be approved by others at your own expense? I teach you how to use EFT to get rid of this personality trait permanently.
  • Are you afraid “you’ll get into trouble” if you want something good for yourself, or do you feel “selfish” if you care for yourself? EFT can banish these feelings of guilt in an instant.
  • Do you feel self-doubt and guilt triggered whenever someone is mad at you, even though you know they are the ones being abusive to you?
  • Are you someone who often feels embarrassed or ashamed for no reason and miss out on social opportunities because of it?
  • Do you feel that nice, healthy people wouldn’t accept you if they found out how “dysfunctional” you really are?
  • Do you feel you can’t get the love you want deep down inside, even though you’re successful in other areas of your life?
  • Do you feel that you are non-deserving of the good things that happen in your life… or that you unconsciously push away opportunities? Learn how you can “tap” this away with EFT by using the right statements.
  • The truth about sexual issues and why they are so predominant in codependent relationships
  • The #1 thing you should do every morning to support yourself in your codependency recovery journey
  • What every codependent individual should first establish to avoid sinking into old disruptive habits and patterns
  • How to undo the years of guilt and self-hatred you might be experiencing as a result of “wrong” actions you did in the past (If you’re still beating yourself up over the past, this technique will give you instant relief.)
  • The truth about seeking help from a “higher power”, and the role this plays in your recovery
You Can Experience EFT For Yourself
Within The Next 15 Minutes…
As a counselor, EFT is now a mainstay in my toolbox. I use it all the time with my clients and they can hardly believe the fast relief it brings for their problems… even those that have bothered them for years.
But the point has come where I may not be able to help as many clients as I like in a one-to-one setting… that’s why I wrote this guide to allow you to experience the positive, healing effects of EFT for yourself.
Let’s face it. One reason why EFT is so powerful is because its effects can be instantly felt and experienced by the individual. Only you know how you feel, and you can tell whether your negative feelings have diminished almost immediately.
That’s why I want you to give yourself a chance and try this method out for yourself.

WARNING: This May Be The Last Piece Of Advice
You’ll Ever Need!
I don’t know about you… but EFT was the last recovery tool I needed. It achieved what years of therapy, self-help and “positive thinking” could not do… by dealing directly with my negative emotions as they arose.
I hope to help you do the same too. If you don’t even wish to try this process out for yourself, risk-free today… how much longer are you going to suffer in silence?
Yours truly,

P.S – If you are going to spend more than $9.99 this year on therapy sessions and other treatments… why not do something that has been proven to work in as little as 15 minutes? Remember – If this does not free you from your emotional abuse… you lose nothing!
Listen to what others are saying about “EFT for Codependency Recovery
“I found Jeanette’s work with EFT to be deeply calming and soothing to the central nervous system. This allowed me to experience my thoughts and emotions in a clearer, more detached way, thereby allowing me to make more empowering choices in my daily life. I especially appreciate the way her work teaches you to learn how to use emotionally centering techniques on your own, whenever you need to remind yourself to address a stressful issue or situation from a new perspective, without simply reverting to old emotional response patterns or outdated coping mechanisms.”

Bike Riding for Wellness | Recovery Tapping Story | And A Healing Dream..

I grew up south of Chicago where, beyond the city, there are dozens of lakes and wood trails to explore.

Then I lived in Southern California where there were tons of beaches, but not many wooded areas that I grew to really miss over the years.

Now, it's such a blessing to live in Northern California where there are tons of bike paths along the rivers, and through the woods again!  It's downright therapeutic. ....It relaxes the mind, ....it exercises the body..., and nature is soothing,... , people are peaceful...  It's healthy and restorative...... Helps your mind process things... or drift off into dreams... organizing thoughts of what's important to you....

I often say my prayers as I start off riding so that I don't even realize I'm

about half a mile down already and it doesn't felt like I did any 'work'.  Then, like a biking meditation, ... I may let my mind wander over thought after thought without resistance or staying on them,....I let thoughts and images go by like a parade...

Then I focus on what I see which are trees, squirrels, birds, ducks, an occasional turtle...walkers, dogs, other smiling bikers.

And my mind relaxes even more.

I focus on my body. I may do a modified version of qi gong while riding, (which are mostly arm stretches).  I adjust my posture... I practice smiling... I'm in my element.., and I start to daydream about my dreams...., my dream of creating a Recovery Tapping center..., teaching anyone whose interested how to heal themselves by learning Emotional Freedom Techniques, and other Energy Healing techniques.

The other night I had a dream...  I dreampt I went over to a girlfriend's house to do an energy healing on her boyfriend who just got diagnosed with cancer. In the dream I suddenly 'woke up' like, and became aware of where I was, and backed out, feeling embarrassed that I just walked in without permission or being invited.

But still it was a cool dream and I shared it later with that girlfriend, who immediately texted her boyfriend and he invited me over!

I showed up with my Energy Medicine Bag and began teaching him about Energy Psychology and Tapping and walked him through several EFT/Tapping Rounds so he could learn it by doing it.

I wanted to teach him how to use these life-altering Emotional Freedom Techniques, not just "do a healing on him".  I like teaching people to heal themselves.

He kept telling me he could feel "a release" as we did each round, and his SUDs numbers were going down on all 3 issues that we Tapped on.

I think I saw a small tear in the corner of his eye.

Earlier I searched for a Tapping script for being told you have Cancer and found one. (EFT Script for Cancer Dx), and he later said it was exactly what he was feeling; he was blaming himself for his cancer and it was a huge relief to be able to work on clearing that.

You have to love and accept yourself to recovery, you can't beat yourself up. You need self-compassion and you need self-empowerment and you need to develop your own Wellness plan.

That is not easy to do when you are riddled with self-blame and guilt and grief and fear.

But once you clear these issues/feelings, one by one, with Tapping (EFT)* , your brain can now think clearer and get back to its natural state of (love, peace, power, choice, courage, etc.) whatever it is for you.  For each person its different because as the negative stuff lifts and clears, the mind naturally starts sorting your thoughts out.

At the same time, since EFT arrested the "Flight or Fight" response, that naturally kicks in the "Calming Response" in the nervous system, which causes the body to calm down, and a general sense of well-being rushes in, as endorphins are released in the brain.

My homework assignment to him, and to anyone willing, is to Tap every day on 1-3 issues.  And do Donna Eden's "5 Minute Daily Energy Routine".  Imagine how many issues you can clear in the next 90 days!  It's like Gary Craig, creator of EFT said, "If issues were trees, it's like you chop down one tree at a time until the whole forest collapses".

I'll go back for a follow-up in 2 weeks and then give him another Energy Healing which doesn't involve tapping which is very powerful.  I call it my NLP Ninja Energy Matrix technique that is a combination of several transformative, healing techniques, including somatic mindfulness, that I've been practicing for many years with awe-inspiring effects.

It tends to put my husband down on the couch for a good nap every time I use it on him and he's much calmer and happier for days afterward...., Ladies, do you hear me?  It works.  You can use it on yourself so you don't react when they push your buttons too.  Its a very handy tool to have in your healing tool box.

But the foundation is EFT Tapping. Why? Because it involves physically tapping on yourself which is an instant Body-Mind action where all healing begins. IMHO/IMHE

Then you "get it" and can easily transition to the non-tapping energy techniques.

Well, its time for my morning bike ride before it gets too hot.  It's suppose to get past 100 degrees today.

Happy Tapping!

=)

 JP

VIDEO Part 2 of 6 of the Depression Wellness Coloring WORKBOOK |Recovery Tapping|JP Bailey

Here's the VIDEO to go with Part 2 of 6 of the Depression Wellness Class and Booklet, which is a free PDF on the blog post right before this one.

Youtube Video Here: Part 2 of 6 Depression Wellness

I assembled it for my "Depression Wellness Art/Coloring" Class that I've been working on for months now.

I have about 140 clients and many of them are depressed. I wanted to assemble all the best hand outs I had collected to give them a workbook for their self-help recovery and wellness. Some of them just don't know what to do or what works.  I did. I spent years studying and collecting them so I could help others by understanding it myself and learning how to heal it in a holistic and integrative way with traditional ways.

It's full of my favorite Goodies that Work!

Emotional Freedom Techniques for Codependency Recovery - NEW Book Out!

“Emotional Freedom Techniques for Codependency Recovery”
by J.P. Bailey, MA
Just Released on Kindle HERE my new self-help book that has been 3 years in the making.
I wrote the book from a psychologist’s perspective who had learned E.F.T. or “Tapping” and the recovery model during the same 10-year period. Both of which were new and were barely heard of at the time.
Tapping worked so good that as I became certified in various methods, I eventually retired from psychology because I thought it worked better and faster than costly therapy and honestly, it was getting hard for me to listen to people’s feelings without being able to tell them to start Tapping on it for quick relief!
When I was a Social Worker for the County, we went through a 5 year transition period from the old-school “sick” model to more of a balanced “wellness recovery model” which was about self-care. (Not to be confused with any twelve step program, the recovery model is a “model” about mental health and wellness, and not a program and has no “steps”. Its a planned daily, weekly routine of taking healthy actions.)
In 2010 it dawned on me that most of my Tapping clients were healing from childhood and addiction related issues and traumas and that most of them referred to it as their codependency issues. A Tapping book was needed that addressed CODEPENDENCYspecifically.
After not being able to find one on the topic, I decided to write it.
I decided to write about Tapping for Codependency using the Recovery Model.
My first 12 step meeting was on Codependency or Adult Children of Alcoholics back in 1987, and over the years have attended hundreds of various 12 step meetings. They all seemed to mention underlining codependency issues when the main problem involved being obsessed with another person to the point of neglecting themselves. Recovery was about taking better care of ourselves, the getting over the emotions took a long time.
It was never enough for me.  I went to energy healers and hypnotists, I went to rebirthing retreats and avatar classes, I went to unity churches and metaphysical bookstores. I searched for years for emotional relief that was right in my fingertips all along.
In fact, I’d say it was so painful to have those emotions without the emotional relief I got fromtapping that I couldn’t bare to even acknowledge it and avoided meetings for years at a time followed by another frenzied search down yet another spiritual answer lane. I don’t regret those days, if I wasn’t looking I may not have stumbled upon E.F.T. when I did.
I found myself at various seminars and workshops learning more and more about Energy Psychology. Every time I used it to Tap on an issue – it went away, I was no longer upset and I felt calm. It was like taking an aspirin for every headache that came up. Only this time it was a huge emotional relief just tapping on my acupuncture points. I didn’t understand why everyone was not tapping or knew about it, it worked so darn good.
It worked better than hypnosis or any other technique I had ever learned and I had been studying and working in psychology since high school. As a teen I was in foster care and group homes and recovery and I always gravitated toward counseling and healing.
I eventually got a Master’s degree in Psychology and knew it would be my life’s work.
I discovered Emotional Freedom Techniques in 2002 when Gary Craig gave his EFT book away on his site for free and sold the videos to his training. I got them all. Then I had to buy them again years later when everything went to DVD!
He later retired and many other Meridian Energy leaders emerged with research, books, training and videos. I’ve loved learning from them all. I saw Donna Eden in San Diego when her “Energy Medicine” and “Energy Psychology” books came out.
It would be 8 years later that the idea dawned on me to write a book on Tapping for Codependency and I worked on it for a year before it was ready.
Then I had to learn the internet to get it out to people. In 2011 I posted it to Facebook and Twitter and had a blog – which I later lost all the content from. So starting over now in 2013 – I got it on Kindle.
Yay!
So, its even cheaper now because its on Kindle, and I’ve learned a little bit more about Internet Marketing.
I have been making my living on the internet from home for over a year now. But not in the self-help niche. I’ve been in the Internet Marketing space this year and its a blast. I sell traffic and build lists, write emails and promote stuff that is selling. I even have a few students.
But I’ve got to start over in the Self-Help niche and get the word out. Mainly I’m posting it on Twitter, get I also need a Press Release and some other marketing that I am going to outsource. I could have never gotten this far without outsourcing jobs and doing some great joint ventures too.
So that’s my story – and I’m sticking to it!  LOL  My new book “Emotional Freedom Techniques For Codependency Recovery” …
==> Is on Kindle HERE!
Thank you for passing it on!  (You never know who might really need it.)

E. F. T. for Codependency Recovery

Recovery Tapping for Emotional Freedom

TAP OUT OF FEAR AND INTO CHOICES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi and Welcome back to Recovery Tapping where we "Tap" (an interesting body-mind technique based on acupuncture) to regain our Emotional Freedom.

Tapping on Emotional Problems releases the emotion so it can resolve itself, as this happens we literally watch them fade away. But what happens then?

We have a spontaneous cognitive shift. I'd like to say it's my brilliant use of tapping and that I'm a natural energy healer and it's all my years as a professional helper at work - but I've seen 10 year old kids pick it up quite fast and get just as amazing results. In fact there is this cute little "Tappy" bear that is for sale. There is a hospital in South American for children with cancer where they use Tappy Bear all the time to bring smiles and emotional relief from the stress of what they are going through.

So, all you have to do it learn the basic technique and that's pretty easy, there's even a short-cut. Memorize the 9-14 points to tap on, and aim it at anything and everything you can think of that causes you problems.

Tap on 10 issues a day and what might you look like in a year?

My entire life has changed around for the better and many others have too.

So what about that cognitive shift, what happens next. Well, once we feel calm about our emotional issue and we've tapped on it our minds can then think it through and we might accept more or feel it's time for a change or time for a new decision.

That's why it's so important to know what you want and know what you would prefer to have instead of this problem.

Dr. Pat Carrington developed the "Choices Method" which is basically tapping on your new choices. After tapping on a problem you then tap on a choice statement, such as, I now choose to take better care of myself more and more every day. You tap on that statement and at the next point you alternate it with the negative 'tail-ender' or aspect that may come up such as, "No, I won't" and you tap on that thought, then on the next point you repeat the new choice and on the next point you tap on the negative "I don't know how, no one ever taught me" and so on until you've done about three rounds and you can clearly tap on the new positive choice without any interference.

Now these are just the basics. I just go over them from time to time for the new readers. You can learn all about EFT for free at emofree.com of course, and you can read my blog posts to find out more about how to use it for codependency recovery.

Many of you have sent emails and some even were brave enough to post comments, I try and answer all emails. I want to thank you for taking the risk and talking about some of the pain you are going through in relationships. It's not easy when you're alone and in pain and have been isolating and depressed for so long.

But I want you to know, Number 1 that you are NOT alone, believe me, there are thousands and thousands of us out there, seek and find each other in groups online and off. There are alot of recovery connections and books to read others struggle.

Number 2 You are OK. You are enough. You are Good Enough.

Just say that to yourself and let it sink in for a change.

Just for today you can be OK and each day a little more. I used affirmations for months that were something like this:

"Every day and in every way I'm getting more and more ok. I'm getting used to being ok. It's ok to feel ok."

Using the words "more and more" and "getting used to" really helped me because after a long depression you really aren't used to feeling ok and you don't know that you could get more and more ok in the beginning of your recovery.

In the beginning you may be numb, angry or feeling nothing but pain. That's good! Feeling is a good thing because that is easy to Tap on. It's when you feel flat and not much of anything that it might be hard to even want to try anything.

But even with that there is a Tapping solution, Tap on "Even though I don't feel anything, I love and accept myself." "Even though I don't feel I love and accept myself, I love and accept myself."

So if you are used to feeling your feelings and processing them you already have an edge. You don't try to cover up the bad feelings by forcing positive affirmations on top of them. You can just go ahead and feel your feelings and tap while you are tuned into them and watch the miracles happen.

But I wanted to get back to some of your questions. Yes, I am still currently working on "Dating in Recovery Part III" and it will be put together with Part I, Part II and Part II continued. I'm making it into a nice little booklet that I will give away for free.

A free gift just for looking at my new site I'm launching for my new book "Emotional Freedom Techniques for Codependency Recovery" which is at www.RecoveryTapping.com.

OK, but what if you're going through hell right now?

There's a quote out there I heard years ago, "When you're going through hell, keep going."

Don't stop and stare.

Keep moving.

Or when in 'the hallway' (when one door closes and another one doesn't open yet), go window shopping or decorate.

Keep tapping.

Things will change and shift - they will anyway, nothing stays the same, but if you actively keep moving yourself then it will change better faster. Movement is life. Everything moves all the time. We never stop moving until we're dead. Flat lines are for dead people, so it's ok if you’re going up and down or spiraling around. Just keep moving.

It's OK to not feel OK. It really is all ok.

So what I've done below is taken a combination of several of your emails and put them together into questions you can ask yourself about being codependent and stuck and then a Tapping statement to tap on.

Do you suffer from people pleasing and feeling guilty?

If so, then tap on "Even though I suffer from people pleasing and feeling guilty all the time, I deeply and completely love and accept myself."

Do you feel guilty for things that do not belong to you or are not really your fault or your responsibility?

"Even though I take on other people's guilt, I love and accept myself."
"Even though I feel guilty just for wanting relief from my guilt, I love and accept myself.

That is just what I learned and I am learning new ways now. From now on I choose to feel free of guilt.

Do you put yourself in harm's way by being around alcoholics/addicts/abusive relatives, rage-aholics, and difficult people?

This is a tough one especially if you live with one. But you can start taking yourself out of the firing range. You can begin to put up a boundary between you and them that doesn't let the hooks dig into you as much. You can learn to focus on yourself rather than on other people's problems. Of course, if someone is being abusive to you start working on a plan to take care of and protect yourself. Start talking to someone about it.

"Even though I'm afraid to talk to anyone about my situation, I love and accept myself."

"Even though I've been hurt and feel stuck and am afraid I'll get hurt again, I love and accept myself."

It's amazing how tapping will help your mind shift into healthier thinking and help you take healthier actions. Take baby steps. Take nano steps if you have to. But keep moving.

Do you take disapproval and criticism very hard? Have you been accused of being too sensitive and emotional as if it's a bad thing? Do you feel nervous around certain family members or critical people?

"Even though I am sensitive and emotional, I love and accept myself just the way I am."

"Even though I feel afraid of critical people, I love and accept myself."

If you have been tapping on these issues, it's time to start asking yourself, "Now, what would I rather have instead?" And start tapping on that new choice after each tapping round.

Do you feel guilty when you do something for yourself?

"Even though I feel guilt when I take good care of myself or don't feel I deserve to treat myself better, I love and accept myself."

"I now choose to feel free and innocent and that it's perfectly fine to take good care of myself. From now on I take better care of myself."

When you start setting boundaries, you may feel awkward at first but you know, as an adult, you have the right to change your mind - even without explaining yourself to anyone.

You can stand firm in just saying, "I've changed my mind." period.

You are not obligated to give answers. You can also say, "I prefer....this or that." "I prefer not to get into this discussion."

You are only obligated to take care of your own needs and your business.

If you volunteer for something you can "unvolunteer" yourself by changing your mind. You can say you have something else to do or simply say you've changed your mind, if you need to, you can say something like, "I'm really sorry but it's just not going to work out for me this time."

When you get in panic mode, tap.

Tap while saying a prayer. Tap while saying the Serenity Prayer.

Tap for strength. Tap for guidance.

Tap for peace.

When a guilt trip is thrown at you, you don't have to take it to heart, you can just take it as a sign that the other person has issues and is reacting. They will even get used to it if you stick to your guns. You will begin to care less and less about what other people think about you as you continue tapping on your worst fears and deepest shame.

If you do decide to set a boundary and take care of yourself better instead, and you feel terrible about it later and guilty and shameful, acknowledge it, tap on it while you're feeling it, it will subside.

Don't go running back to people for forgiveness and end up doing more stuff for them for their approval. Tap on that anxiety first and see what happens.

Don't let anyone talk down to you or talk you down or talk you in or out of something. You can just say, "No, thanks. Have a nice day, gotta go." And walk away.

You can wait and do nothing and listen to your intuition.

Take care of yourself first just this afternoon, just for the rest of today, just for today. Just for an hour put your needs first, they deserve your attention too.

Connect with friends who encourage you to take care of yourself, all else will fall into place.

When you feel trapped, ask yourself what two choices do you feel trapped between? Then ask yourself where did you get only those two choices? Ask yourself what other choices might you have.

What other choices might someone else have in your situation? What would a rebel teenager say about your situation? What would a protective social worker or cop say? What would a wise teacher say? What would a fair, impartial judge say?

What does a brave adventurer say? What about a person with lots of tools, what would they say?

All these people are inside of you and more.

What does your wise self say?

What does your recovery part say?

What would your sponsor or coach say?

Just ask. When you put your fears and problems into questions and ask yourself these types of questions, your brain automatically goes searching for an answer. Sometimes it's easier to give support and advice to someone else than to yourself. So what if someone came to you with the problem you are having and they asked you for your help? What would you say or do for them? That is a good insight to what you can give yourself.

"Even though it's easier to help others than it is to help myself, I love and accept myself."

"Even though I'm afraid and I don't know what to do, I love and accept myself."

Give yourself permission to have choices. Allow yourself to hope but not expect.
Remember, regardless of what other people do or say, your life will continue on with little impact of what others choose to do with their life. Can always choose to let it go.

You can always start your day over.

You can Tap your way to Emotional Freedom, one day at a time.
